NIANTIC, CT (WFSB) – Michelle Troconis is behind bars after the jurors returned a guilty on all counts verdict Friday morning.
Troconis will wake up at Saturday at York Correctional in Niantic.
She arrived at the prison Friday evening and is expected to stay there at least through the weekend
Despite Troconis’ defense attorney Jon Schoenhorn stressing she is not a flight risk, the judge raised her bond from $2 million to $6 million.
According to her lawyer that number is too steep for her to get out immediately, but he expects her to be out soon.
The prosecution asked the judge for her to be placed on GPS monitoring if she makes bail.
Right now, Troconis’ lawyer is focused getting bond for his client and filing post-trial motions.
According to former state chief attorney Chris Morano, all motions must be filed within the next five days to be successful.
May 31 is when sentencing is scheduled for Troconis.
She faces a maximum of 50 years in prison.
