CEYLON — Today, July 20, is the date for the Ceylon summer auction. There are two or three rings all day beginning at 8:30 a.m. No household items will be sold at this auction.
The Welcome Summer Festival is in its second day today, July 20. The parade is at 4:30 p.m. Many activities for those of all ages are planned all day. Plan to attend.
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will have services at 5:30 p.m. tonight, July 20, with communion. Area residents are welcome.
St. Pauls’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert will have their 10 a.m. Sunday service with communion, followed by their voter’s meeting. All members are voting members and are urged to attend since an important constitutional vote will be taken at the meeting.
Condolences to the families of Lyman Craig, Rodney Johnson and Merry Jane (Lubenow) Osman, who all passed away recently. They will be missed by friends and family.
There will be an American Red Cross blood drive from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, July 22, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. Tuesday coffee hours for July continue from 8:30-10 a.m. July 23, at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn just south of I-90. Also, the Ceylon Coffee Lovers meet 8:30-10 a.m. each Thursday in the back room of the Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon. Area men and women are welcome to join these coffee events.
The Sherburn Theatre will feature the blockbuster movie ‘Twisters’ this weekend, July 19-21, and next weekend, July 26-28. Show times are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are $5 and they have good popcorn too.
